Miss Kristi - Owner / Director started dancing at the age of 3 and hasn't stopped since. She has trained , and still trains, with all the top teachers and choreographers of the dance world. She is a former professional dancer whose credits include the Philadelphia 76ers Dance Team, traveling the world performing on cruise lines, performing in shows in Las Vegas, Atlantic City ,Biloxi, Nashville and a national tour. Miss Kristi has also choreographed for two national tours, new artist development for RCA, Miss and Mrs. International pageants, resident choreographer for two theaters in Pigeon Forge, TN and many special events. Miss Kristi uses her experiences to give her students the best dance education possible.
Miss Lauren M's love for dance began when she was three years old at Barbara Ann's School of Dancing (now K*PAC). Miss Lauren is a graduate of West Chester University with a major in Professional Studies and minors in Nutrition and Dance. She has performed in the University Dance Company shows at WCU, attended master classes, dance workshops and has broadened her dance experience greatly by attending the America College Dance Festival Association at Penn State University. The values of dancing have continued to provide inspiration throughout her life and she looks forward to continuing her dance education and teaching at K-Lyn Performing Arts Center!
Miss Cortney began dancing at the age of eight and has studied ballet/pointe, jazz, tap, modern, hip hop and lyrical dance. She began studying at the Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet at the age of thirteen, and went on to become a member of their pre-professional program. Miss Cortney has performed in the Nutcracker, numerous recitals, demonstrations and competitions. She started teaching dance at age 18. Miss Cortney graduated from West Chester University in May of 2011, with a degree in Elementary Education.
Miss Tricia began dancing at age three studying and dancing where ever she could. She trained in the area for 13 years and competed in National Competitions from the pre-teen to senior levels. Miss Tricia has a B.F.A. in Dance from Temple University, with specialties in modern and ballet. Her works have been in various showings and concerts throughout the department. Miss Tricia is the Captain of the Philadelphia Spinners Fly Girls Dance Team. She is also adjunct faculty at Cabrini College. Miss Tricia is the head choreographer and director of the Cardinal O’Hara Fashion Show and the won the Benzwie Award for Dance Education. She is finishing her Masters in Secondary Education at Cabrini College. Miss Tricia is now the Director of the K*Lyn Dance Company.
Miss Sarah began dancing when she was just two years old at Barbara Ann's School of Dancing. She has studied every style from ballet/pointe, tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, musical theater, modern and African dance. She was a part of the K*Lyn All Stars competition team for several years and helped bring back numerous national titles and platinum awards while also attending master classes, workshops and conventions in many different states. Miss Sarah currently attends West Chester University studying theater and dance. She is beginning to audition for professional works and plans on doing so for as long as possible. Miss Sarah is currently a member of the Philadelphia Spinners Fly Girls Dance Team. She started assisting classes at K*PAC her sophomore year in high school and is continuing to teach because she loves working with the children and hopes to impact their lives not just as a dancer but as a person too!
Miss Sam started dancing at the age of 3 and continued throughout high school and college. She trained in the Delaware county area for 18 years and performed in numerous dance troupes, Nutcrackers and, local and national competitions. Miss Sam traveled from the east coast to the west coast competing in regional and national competitions and learning the newest styles of dance from some of the most famous dancers throughout the world. After graduating from Cardinal O’Hara High School Miss Sam was given the opportunity to partake in Cardinal O’Hara’s Fashion Show as a dance teacher. She has since been promoted to Assistant Director, working alongside Miss Tricia. Miss Sam is also the Assistant Director of the K*Lyn Dance Company. She is currently a member of the Philadelphia Spinners Fly Girls Dance Team. Miss Sam strives to provide her students with top quality dance education and enjoys every minute of working with the best students and staff at K*Lyn.
Ryan started dancing at the age of 7 at Barbara Ann’s School of Dancing (now K*PAC). Since then, he has taken every opportunity to improve his dance style and technique. He competed with the K*Lyn All Stars, traveling with them to many workshops and master classes. In 2010-2011 Ryan trained at the Pennsylvania Leadership Charter School of Performing and Fine Arts. Now Ryan is attending West Chester University with a major in Elementary Education while also participating on the West Chester University Dance Company. As he attends school he will continue to audition for professional jobs with hopes of making it in the business. Ryan’s main goal in the dance classroom is to make sure each and every child is having as much fun as possible!
